Small decisions.

Every year for the past 50 plus years our local High School participates in a music festival featuring our choir, band, and orchestra.  Two other schools from our neighboring state also participate.  It runs for 2 days and the music is outstanding – especially for high school students.  This year we decided to house two girls.  We were very fortunate as the girls are really nice and get along with my 15 year old daughter.  My dilema tonight is that there is an hour and a half program and quite frankly I don’t want to go.  Don’t get me wrong – I love the music (and I am a music geek) but the thought of sitting through the program does not set me on fire.  I am substitute teaching for a friend tomorrow and would like to get to bed early.  However, I would like to support the music program even though my daughter is not performing tonight.  Besides, I don’t think my eight year old would sit quietly for an entire program of acapella choral music.  Would yours???  I’ll let you know what I decided.
